Prior to his career with the police department, Fowlkes served in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993 after attending the Marine Corps School of Infantry. During his time in the Marines, Fowlkes conducted small unit parachute operations including reconnaissance, air, and naval gunfire missions. Fowlkes is proud to be a veteran of the First Gulf War and to have been promoted meritoriously twice.


More recently, Fowlkes has worked as a contractor for the Department of Defense in Iraq, specifically the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization. As a member of this department, he ran infantry operations and trained soldiers, specializing in hostage situations and interrogation of detainees. Eventually, he realized he could make more of an impact developing products for law enforcement officers for better success and safety on the job, and moved to Eagle Industries in order to do this. As a Business Development Manager of Law Enforcement at Eagle Industries, Fowlkes gave back to the law enforcement community he had served in for so long.

Luiz Carlos Trabucco Cappi Restores Bradesco To The Helm Of The Brazil’s Banking Industry

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi took over the presidency of Bradesco, a leading private financial institution in Brazil in 2009. At the time he assumed the presidency, Itau Unibanco, a longtime competitor of Bradesco had taken over industry leadership. On his appointment, he stated that his primary objective would be improving the services the bank offers to its clients as opposed to competing with Itau Unibanco for the top position.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi became the fourth president of Bradesco. His appointment came after the retirement of predecessor Marcio Cypriano. Marcio was leaving the organization as in line with the statute of the bank, which doesn’t allow presidents who are over 65 years. By the time he was leaving, he had raised the market value of the giant bank in Brazil from $5 billion to $30 billion. The other former presidents include Amador Aguiar, the founder, and Lazaro Brandao, the current board chairman who appointed Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi to succeed Cypriano.


In 2015, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi signed one of the biggest corporate deals in Brazil. With the approval of Lazaro Brandao, the chairman of the board, Mr. Trabucco bought HSBC’s Brazil branch at the cost of $5.2 billion. The deal revived Bradesco’s fight for the top position in the banking segment. With the HSBC deal, Banco de Deus bank beat Itau Unibanco in three primary segments namely; the total investments, the number of account holders and branch network. Moreover, Bradesco also beat its rival in terms of loan granted, assets and deposits.

During an interview with MONEY in 2015, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi emphasized the importance of the deal stating that without it, the bank would take six years to beat Itau Unibanco. Following this remarkable achievement, he was crowned the Entrepreneur of the Year in the Financial Sector by MONEY. On signing this historic deal, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi got recognized as one of the most prominent corporate leaders in the country. As a result, he demands a lot of respect as handles funding of most of the largest investments in Brazil.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi, 66, was born Marilia, the home city of Bradesco. He graduated from the University of Sao Paulo with an undergraduate bachelor degree in philosophy, science, and letters. In 2003, he was elevated to serve as the president of Bradesco Seguros, the insurance arm of Bradesco.
